I'm back… I think

I got out of the habit of regularly posting. For some reason the more things I had to post about, the less I wanted to actually post about them.

A brief summary to be expounded upon later:

It totally hit the fan at work… still not sure how things will shake out. Just in case, here's my resume

Vacation plans changed: spent some time on a farm, and hung out with friends and family. Very theraputic.

Rediscovered the joy of fishing. I loaded up on new gear. In case of unemployment, I'll at least have something to do. Need a(nother) boat… really need something to tow it.

More fooling with cars… but isn't that a given?

Oh, yeah: I'm a year older too.

Too Easy

I just installed Windows XP Service Pack 2 on my machine. I downloaded the Network installer from MSDN (my employer is a subscriber) all 280 megs of it, but was reluctant to install it.

Well I finally worked up the courage to turn it loose this evening, and it was remarkably easy. It only took about 20 minutes, and seems to have installed without a hitch. Can't say I see much difference. I never used IE, Outlook (or any other MS Office crap) and I'm nearly always behind a firewall… so that might explain it.
