two dollar car renovation
I've been living with a leaky exhaust on the Milano for quite a while now. The slip fittings joining the header downpipes to the center exhaust are a bitch to seal. I finally tried a little plastic exhaust repair tape under the clamps, and to my surprise it worked well.
With the fixed exhaust it's like driving a new car. Well at least a much nicer car. I also recently replaced the transmission mounts and deDion bush, which had a dramatic effect on handling. I've been collecting spare parts, and I'm close to having a complete spare front-end. I'll be able to rehab the whole system with no rush, and simply transplant it into the car when it's ready. After that, I'll refresh the driveline and possibly the clutch... leaving me free to concentrate on the cosmetics. I can almost imagine the end of my todo list.
