I picked up my new bowling ball this evening from Joe Ritter of Ritter's Pro Shop. I wish I wasn't so surprised to receive good customer service. I really appreciated that he called _me_ to let me know the ball was in and ready... the first day he was back from vacation. He did a fine job of setting up the new ball. He spent some time making sure the fit was just right, and gave me some pointers and encouragement during my first game. I was happy to pay a little more for what i got... Then I checked prices online, and I found that I wouldn't have saved even what I paid in tax by mail-ordering the ball. Sweet. The first game: Not too shabby. It took a few frames to get used to finger tip grip and the hook from the new ball. Even with a few open frames, including one with two gutter balls, I bowled a 160. I rolled at least 5 strikes, and made 2 or three spares by throwing a strike. The new ball is very cool...
