For $6/hundred pounds I consigned my old Milano to the scrapheap. I informed the recycler that I was delivering him gourmet, Italian steel. To which he replied "scrap is scrap." sigh I gives me some comfort to know my Alfa gave its life so that other Alfas may live. It's heart beats under a new hood. I will say the folks at Keystone Iron and Metal, are a nice to deal with. I got significantly more than I expected (Castriota only pays $3-4/per hundred.) I also learned that the most important thing is to remove the wiring from the chassis. Copper doesn't make good steel.
