Treo 600 Camera improvement
I stumbled across a post on Treocentral that detailed a new Picturemail Replacement. You can find the program attached to the first post in that thread.
An intrepid forum user has developed a program which solves the most glaring problems with the Treo 600 camera: blue dots, and no zoom. It's somewhat sad the Palm/Handspring people hadn't taken care of this already. The camera is much more capable than you would know. It has zoom capability, full motion record, variable jpeg compression, adjustable gain, and more. The new program corrects for the blue dots, by lowering the blue-channel gain. This simple fix results in a warmer picture with no blue noise. The Z-key toggles the zoom. The ability to adjust the the Jpeg compression is built in, and can be accessed from the menu.
It's still a little quirky, but it is improving rapidly. Several releases over the last few days have cured many a bug.
This is a must have if you actually use your Treo's camera. Expect photos in the sidebar to improve significantly.
