Curiosity piqued by Chris's results on the politcal compass test, I clicked my way through the test. Now before I post the results, I'm not keen on the wording of many of the questions. In the economics section many of the answers would have been "it depends..." For example: I'm a free-marketeer, but only if true costs are reflected by the market (i.e environmental and social costs.) Proper accounting would solve many social ills. But don't get me started... My results: Economic Left/Right: 4.0 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.05 They don't list anyone famous with similar views... which is probably why I'm so routinely disappointed by my potential choices at the voting booth. Gridlock is usually the best outcome I could hope for.
