Not a placebo effect
I only had a cup of coffee at home before work yesterday, and none since. Considering my normal daily intake is somewhere around 50oz of freshly ground, premium coffee this is quite a drop in my caffine intake.
For the longest time I've considered myself immune to the effects of coffee. But I've had a natural ever-present tremor so maybe the effect was just hard to see. I was curious to see if that vibration would be attenuated by eliminating caffine for a few days.
I'm totally paying the price now with a ripping headache, and I'm not a person used to having headaches. Wow. I thought all the no-caffine headache talk was bullshit. I stand corrected. 3 asprin did nothing, so after having a huge glass of porter, I followed it with two cups of coffee and pile of my grandmother's date-n-nut pinwheel cookies.
